Note: A 5% solution is the recommended dose (as per the above table). Where the build-up of iron is slight a 2.5% solution is permissible. To calculate the amount of Clearbore required you will need to know the diameter, depth and standing water level (SWL) of the bore.
Clearbore Dosage Calculation:
Depth of bore minus standing water level (SWL) = metres of water
Find grams required per diameter from the above table = grams/metre
Multiply metres of water x grams/metre = dosage in grams
Divide dosage in grams by 1000 = dosage in kilograms
Clearbore Dosage Example:
Example – a 150mm diameter bore, depth 70m, SWL 20m.
Metres of water = 70-20 = 50m
50m x 880grams = 44000grams, divide by 1000 = 44kg Clearbore
