CLEARBORE IN THE WORKSHOP
Are you aware of the other jobs that Clearbore can do for you? Apart from cleaning bores and submersible pumps, this one product can also be used to clean pipes, drippers and drip lines, filters and screens. In fact all irrigation parts and fittings – in the field and in the workshop.
A solution of 1-part Clearbore to 20-parts water (eg 1kg Clearbore to 20L water, a 5% solution) can be recirculated through pipelines to leave pipes and fittings completely clean and allowing maximum flow. (A slight build-up may only need a 1 to 40-part solution or 2.5% solution.) We recommend using Clearbore every twelve months to keep pipelines clean.
In the workshop, a solution of 1-part Clearbore to 10-parts water (eg 1kg Clearbore to 10L water, a 10% solution) can be used to clean sprinkler heads, drippers, inoperable and dismantled pumps, pipe fittings, bore screens, filters and baffles, in fact any part of your irrigation system. In many cases, an inoperable pump will work after being cleaned by this method. The solution can be used over and again, depending on how much iron there is to be removed. A lid kept on the solution will reduce the breakdown of the active ingredients.
To clean the iron from a working pump, there is no need to dismantle it. Simply place the pump in a container large enough to hold it, and fill with a 1 to 10-part solution of Clearbore. Turn the pump on and allow the Clearbore to clean the pump. Again, the solution can be reused.
Once the solution no longer performs, empty the container onto waste ground and allow it to biodegrade. In the presence of UV light and air, Clearbore breaks down to carbon dioxide and water – completely safe for the environment.
